Agatha is one of our farm oldies! She is a Blue Face Leicester, distinctive with her roman nose. Blue Face Leicester are a large, long wooled breed, who originated from the North-East of England in the late 19th centaury. Agatha is a gentle, curious lady, who loves hanging out with her sheepy friends!

One horn
Date of Birth 2021
One horn is a Jacob, considered to be one of the oldest sheep breeds, the exact origins are unknown. Jacob's are medium sized with goat like horns. Jacob's are Polycerate, which mean 'many-horned', they can have up to 6 horns! One horn is shy around people, but the first to come over when there's a food bowl around!

Belle

Belle is big, bold and beautiful! She has been at the farm since she was a lamb. The Suffolk breed originated in Suffolk, England, in the late 18th centaury. Suffolk's are large, with a black face, white wool and beautiful large bell shaped ears. Suffolk's are polled, this means they don't have any horns.

Jingle

Jingle is a Charmoise cross. A hardy hill breed, originally from the Lor et Cher region of France. Although she was hand reared with her best friend Belle, Jingle is very much a real sheep, no scratches for her, not unless you have a couple of sheep nuts to hand!

Joonie

Joonie is Valais Blacknose. A calm and docile breed that originated from the Valais region of Switzerland. They are hardy and well suited for challenging mountain environments. Don't but put of by those magnificent horns, Joonie is a real sweetie.

Jemima

Jemima is a Valais Blacknose, like her sister. They have distinctive shaggy coats, which unlike many breeds, has to be shorn twice a year. Jemima is a real gentle giant. She loves nothing more than a walk around the farm, especially if there is some strawberry bush prune on the way!

Ella is a Southdown were originally breed in Glynde, East Sussex. Considered to be one of Britain's oldest and most influential breeds, helping to develop several other British breeds, including the Suffolk, Hampshire and Oxford Down.

Sunshine is a old toughie, she has undergone several procedures and operations in her life and always bounces back. She is one of our more confident sheep, always coming over to check if there are any sheep nuts going! Southdown's are small and compact, known for being good doers!

Bo (Boomer) is the baby of the Southdown's she is West Sussex born and bred! Incredibly cute, Southdown's are sometimes called Teddy bear sheep, because of their fluffy faces. They are calm and docile in nature making them firm farm favourites.

Dawn

Dawn came to the farm in 2023, wild and full of character! Ouessant's originate from the island Ouessant, off the coast of France. Soay's originated from the island Soay, in Scotland. 'Soay' is Old Norse and means 'island of sheep'. Both breeds are amongst the oldest and most primitive breeds in Europe.

Tiny

Tiny is the smallest sheep in our whole herd. Soay's are known for their small stature, and Ouessant's are one of the smallest sheep breeds in the world. Although they are small, they are mighty. Both breeds are incredibly hardy and can thrive in the harshest environments.

Nol

Nol was incredibly weary of humans when she first came to the farm, a trait common in the Soay's breed. She learnt very quickly that people = food, and now will always come over to say hello. Penning her is a totally different matter! Nol, Dawn and Tiny's speed and agility makes rounding them up a whole farm affaire!

Winnie is one of the larger lambs from 2024, she somehow always manages to keep her coat so white! Lleyn's are a medium sized breed, originally from the Lleyn Peninsula, in Wales.

Eve and her twin Bux came into this world with a bang. Born via caesarean, Eve has always been raised by humans, probably why she is one of our friendliest sheep. A firm favourite, Eve is always the first to run over to say hello and loves nothing more than a good scratch and a fuss.

Tinnie Tina Thumbelina, aptly names because she was so tiny when she first cam to the farm. Despite her small size Tina is a force to be reckoned with. She is the loudest, most vocal sheep in our flock, providing that big things really do come in the smallest of packages!
