Alternative Provision: What we offer

Our work as an alternative provision provider began three years ago working with the Alternate Provision College and has developed rapidly over the last year. Young people with a variety of needs engage with the farm: students with physical challenges, behavioural challenges, anxiety issues and learning difficulties. We work with the students to build confidence, self esteem, improve work ethic, encourage team work and independence. We aim to integrate young people back into mainstream school.

Our alternative student provision work is explained below.

Who We Work With

Student Vocational Qualifications

Over the past 3 years we have worked with 180 students.

  • Local schools send small groups of students directly to us

  • Alternative Provision Colleges bring students to us and work with us

  • Private referrals.

East Clayton farm is an approved Centre for delivering nationally recognised land-based qualifications through ABC Awards. These are vocational qualifications and are achieved through hands on learning. This means that students who visit us are able to receive accredited awards for the work they undertake whilst on site.

"A big thank you to all that spent time with and guided our son through his course at East Clayton Farm. He loved his time there and we are very grateful for the opportunity he was given and the path it has set him on"

Referrals

At the farm we tailor any offer of provision to the individual needs of each student.  If you are interested in referring a young person to East Clayton Farm, please get in touch with Jean to discuss this further.
